WHAT IS A LABYRINTH?
a labyrinth is an ancient pattern on the ground, used in meditative practices. it is a path with curves and turns that is walked or travelled upon, often with purposeful contemplation. its basic form is circular in appearance. they can be formed in a number of ways, from any number of materials - commonly stone, earth, rocks, turf, paving and concrete. its appeal is broad, across time and geography. its benefits to health, well-being, and healing are widely documented. as well as being visually engaging, the labyrinth also has strong metaphoric parallels to life, earth, people, and the human spirit!
they can be built just about anywhere, and are best customised to the intended location; indoors, outdoors, level ground, undulating ground. they can match to almost any area. depending on what width you want the paths to be, you can select by number of circuits what size labyrinth you want.
